Baby Reindeer Title Sequence
The Brief
For the final project of my Introduction to Motion Design course, I was tasked with designing a title sequence without the use of photos or music from the source material. I choose the Netflix original, Baby Reindeer
The solution
Despite the four-week deadline, I illustrated nearly all of the visual assets in this piece using Procreate, then edited them in photoshop. The animation, compositing, and ambient effects were then produced in After Effects
STORYBOARD
My vision was to emphasize the emotional shift of the main character—from feelings of pity and friendly concern to growing fear and unease. As much of the story revolves around the main character’s emotions, it was critical that I centered this title sequence around these feelings.
